Fundraising and Communications Lead, All Hallows Bow

Develop and deliver a fundraising and communications strategy that enables our dynamic Christian community project to maintain and grow our impact on the lives of local disadvantaged children and families in Bow, East London through play, learning, family support and community building.
In this varied role your focus will be on developing our earned income by identifying, engaging and securing giving from trusts and foundations whilst also growing levels of personal giving and developing community fundraising initiatives that allow local people to play a significant role in supporting our work. You will be a confident ambassador for our organisation, able to use your initiative and with proven income-generating skills to ensure the sustainable growth of our project.
As a confident communicator, able to communicate effectively and enthusiastically with a wide variety of audiences including at both senior and local community level, you will also lead on our communications strategy, helping us tell our story and demonstrate our impact in order to attract and retain support – both financial, service, prayer, and in-kind, from potential funders, partners, within our diverse local community and within All Hallows Bow church.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about increasing opportunities for children and families living in deprived communities, excited about the opportunity for making an impact at grass-roots level and able to champion the Christian ethos and church partnership that make our work in Bow unique.
Job Title: Fundraising & Communications Lead
Salary: £25,000 – £28,500 FTE (pro rata) depending on experience
Hours of work: 20 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work
Flexible working options also considered.
Location: Fern Street Settlement, Fern Street, E3 3PS
Benefits: 25 days annual leave pro rata, exclusive of public holidays
Pension scheme with 5% employer pension contribution for qualifying staff members
Length of Contract: 18 months including 6 month probationary period
