St Paul’s Hammersmith is a vibrant urban church planted from Holy Trinity Brompton and based in the centre of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. We are beginning an exciting rebuilding process and we are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Youth Pastor to join our team as we venture into new territory, exploring and innovating new ways of ministry and mission in the Church, West London and beyond. The successful candidate will be a ‘hands on’, dynamic, experienced Youth Leader who can relationally connect with the various Youth age groups (11-18 years) through heartfelt passion and energy, deep commitment to the Word, a relationship with Jesus and experience of the leading and empowering of the Spirit.
We live to glorify God by becoming a transforming community for London and beyond. Our strategy is the formation of dynamic, urban, missional disciples or cityshapers. If you have passion, expertise and a desire to make a difference in London for God’s Kingdom, come and join us in our mission to be shaped by God to shape the City.
Reporting to the Associate Pastor and working with the Ministry team, you will be responsible for the delivery of all Sunday and weekly Youth activities and other special events. You will be responsible for developing and implementing an exciting and sustainable Youth strategy that is aligned with our vision and mission to establish CityYouth as relevant, equipping a generation to know who they are in God, live out their faith in their homes and communities.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a proven track record as a leader; as well as the relevant experience and skills to be able to work with Youth within a diverse community. Pastoral understanding and sensitivity in this area is a must.
This role requires a confident manager and team builder who can lead and develop an energetic team of volunteers and interns. You will be a high capacity worker with strong organisational skills and communication skills who is self-motivated and takes initiative. Flexible working is a must as some evenings and Saturdays will be required.
In return, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and experience working within this area and also be able to grow the role in line with the demands and strategy of an urban church environment including families and also students (18 – 22 years).
DBS closure is required.
