About The Role

Our current Mission Action Plan 2021-26 includes a key priority for the ‘relentless concern for kids and youth’.

We are delighted to be participating in the Stepney Episcopal Area mission project to develop a Youth Minster serving Hackney & Islington.

We have a long history of engaging young people through music and worship, and so we have combined two part-time roles to create a full-time post for the right person. We offer a great team to work in, with experienced leaders in youth, worship, mission and church growth with whom to work.

The Diocese of London is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults through the use of the Safer Recruitment practice guidance. This role is subject to acceptable pre-appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.

1. Assist the Head of Kids & Youth with the development and delivery of our Hoxton Youth Minster project.
2. Take lead responsibility for all youth ministry communications.
3. Hold principal responsibility under the Vicar for all music and worship in our services.
4. To resource the worship ministry team and promote a culture of worship and prayer.

Equal Opportunities

The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME) and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
