About The Role
St Cyprian’s Clarence Gate are seeking an organised and friendly Parish Administrator and Church Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the church. The administrator will manage the church office; share responsibility for maintenance of this Grade II* listed building; organise bookings, events and invoicing; and minor financial responsibilities. St Cyprian’s Church works in close partnership with St Paul’s, Rossmore Road (the Rector of St Paul’s serving as Priest in Charge of St Cyprian’s) as such, the role involves engagement across both parishes.
Job Title: Parish Administrator and Church Manager
- Location: St Cyprian’s Church, Glentworth Street, London NW1 6AXHours: Monday-Friday, 20 hours per week / 4 hours per day (working hours by arrangement between the hours of 9.30am-5.30pm).
- Salary: £20,800pa, plus Workplace Pension contributions and holiday entitlement.
- Line Manager: Priest in Charge, St Cyprian Clarence Gate. and Rector of St Paul, St Marylebone (Churchwardens in case of vacancy).
- Employer: PCC of St Cyprian Clarence Gate.
- Probationary period: 6 months; Notice period: 3 months.
- Review: Regular Line Management; Probationary Review at 6 months, thereafter Annual Review with line manager.
We are seeking someone who is sympathetic to the mission of the Church of England and its local parish life; desirably, some knowledge of parish life in the Church of England, including its administrative, legal and charitable requirements and listed Buildings maintenance experience.
This role requires the completion of the Safeguarding Training provided by the Diocese of London and required DBS checks.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: to include office management, church administration, finance administration, church operations, bookings and events management.
Skills & Experience: Excellent organisational skills; Experience working in office or church administration; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Financially confident; IT and Communications skills; Working knowledge of GDPR.
