About The Role

Inspire Church originally planted from All Souls, Langham Place with a Bishop’s Mission Order (BMO) in September 2013 in the Old Street area of London with a vision to be ‘a united and diverse community inspiring London with the good news of Jesus Christ’.
In January 2018, Inspire merged with the neighbouring parish of Saint James Clerkenwell and over the past 7 years, Inspire Saint James (ISJ) has grown into a vibrant, multi-cultural church family of about 225 adults and 80 children across two Sunday services.
Our Inspire Football and Inspire Holiday Club ministries continue to take place in Old Street and we have several families living on the Redbrick Estate next to Old Street who are keen to start a new missional community in September 2025 focussed on estates ministry.
We are, therefore, looking for a church planter who is a self-starter; passionate about reaching estates; with a clear love for Jesus and with a gift in cross-cultural preaching, pioneering and discipling of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds.

The Diocese of London is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults through the use of the Safer Recruitment practice guidance. This role is subject to acceptable pre-appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.

c. Attending regular ISJ staff meetings on Tuesday afternoons.

The estates church planter will begin at ISJ on Sundays, but once the church plant has launched, will be focussed exclusively there.
