Choristers aged 7-18 are invited to sing choral evensong in a parish church setting at St Mary-at-Finchley on Saturday 9th March 2024. The rehearsal is on the afternoon of the Evensong (arrive 1.45pm, rehearse 2-4pm).
The cost is £8 per singer. You will learn the music at home/with your choir trainer in advance and then on the day we all combine to create a wonderful sound together. Please contact Penny Davison to sign up: pendavison@nulllive.co.uk
This event is organised by Church Music London (the same people who were the London committee/team of RSCM London before it was disbanded). We’ve been doing this Young Voices Festival annually for a long time now – please do support it and use it as a great way for your young singers to learn more about Evensong, Anglican Chant, singing together, and making a great sound. Readings and prayers all done by the choristers. A great experience for all!
The music is themed on Mothering Sunday (the following day) so you can programme confidently the same items for your own church choir on
Sunday 10th March.
