This ground breaking central London day conference is an event set up by Transformational Enterprise Network; Angello; Christian Aid Salt Network; Openwell and Transformational SME.

The five partners are all organisations supporting enterprise solutions to poverty. Our aim is to inspire, equip and connect Christians with a business background (entrepreneurs, investors, advisors) so that they are better able to use their skills, experience and networks to alleviate poverty.

PROGRAMME

– A welcome from The Archbishop of Canterbury (by video)
– A Bible-based introduction from Dr Kim Tan, international impact entrepreneur and investor.
– Stories from entrepreneurs around the world, Kennedy Ojunju from GDF, who has has helped some of the poorest individuals and communities in Kenya create over 250,000 small business and 2,600 savings and loans groups; other case studies include digital business development in Uganda, eco-cattle rearing in East Asia and micro loans in Malawi.
– An interview with Ezechiel Hatungimana, a serial entrepreneur with a big vision for Burundi
– An Interview with Jo Plummer on Business as Mission
– Examples of personal involvement, facilitated by Christian Aid CEO Patrick Watt

If you are involved in business and want to better understand how enterprise can be used in the fight against poverty, while building dignity and without creating dependency, then this is for you.
