Thy Kingdom Come – Beacon Event
|Location: Thy Kingdom Come – Beacon Event||St Paul's Cathedral, London EC4M 8AD|
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement, which the Archbishop of Canterbury is inviting people around the world to join. He is calling on Christians of all denominations around the world to pray for people to know Jesus Christ during a focused time over the week leading up to Pentecost 2017.
What’s happening… Between 25th May and 4th June 2017 people will be gathering to pray for the empowering of the Holy Spirit. In addition to events in cathedrals across the UK, hundreds of other Beacons will be hosted locally across all denominations and around the world.
St Paul’s Cathedral Beacon Event
The evening event on 3 June will help people gather, ignite and inspire worship and prayer for a generation to rise up with a fresh passion and confidence to share their faith with others. We would love you to be part of this.
Our hope is that as Christians pray together we will:
- be transformed through prayer
- be given new confidence and encouragement by the Holy Spirit
- be effective witnesses to Jesus Christ.
Individuals and churches around the world will be coming together to pray that their friends, families and neighbours come to know Jesus Christ. This may culminate in beacon events where communities gather to worship and to pray for the empowering of the Holy Spirit for effective witness.
