Tackle a mountain to raise money for the BLMF

Why not pull on a pair of walking boots and join BLMF supporters in tackling the world’s largest freestanding mountain?

The group will be climbing the Rongai route over six days through rainforests, pastures, tundra and volcanic dessert reaching the summit at 5,985 metres high overnight on the 4th/5th day. No previous trecking/climbing experience required but a sense of humour is a must! There will be opportunities to acclimatise with a jeep safari before the walk.

The fundraising target is £3,500, with minimum sponsorship of £1,500.

There is limited availability on this trip so book now and you will be supported all the way with:

  • A fundraising page
  • Tips on how to fundraise
  • Regular updates on the trip
  • Practice walks and climbs leading up to the event
  • Advice on kit needed and access to local equipment hire

The trip will take place 15 to 24 November 2013 and is intended to raise money for the Bishop of London’s Mission Fund.

For more information please contact Andrew Garwood Watkins who is coordinating this event.
