Sandy joined an ambassadors’ workshop with a group from her parish. “It wasn’t until I was there that I realised I am already an ambassador for Christ and through talking to and caring about people I was showing Jesus’ love. I realised that valuing people and meeting them where they are is what Jesus did.”
For Sandy, a particular challenge has been a recent family tragedy. She has found it even more important to live as an Ambassador for Christ in her family and says: “I do feel that God has used this tragic experience to help me learn to trust in Him and his plan and it has strengthened my resolve to pray for my family and loved ones.”
Sandy works as an Administration Manager for the bread manufacturer, Delifrance. Her job can be stressful and it can be hard to react in a “Christian way” when tempers run high and deadlines are pressing. She sets aside time each day to read Voice of Hope, which she finds to be a daily encouragement: “It is a spiritual oasis that quenches my thirst in the desert of admin that I call work. This leaves me filled with nourishing thought-provoking messages to encourage me to be a better Ambassador for Christ in my daily life”.
