New Director of Finance and Operations

The Diocese of London has announced the appointment of Richard Gough as Director of Finance and Operations. Richard brings extensive financial leadership skills to his new role and will play a vital part in advancing work to fulfil Capital Vision 2020, the Diocese of London’s vision for serving London in the coming years.

Richard is currently the Finance Director at the Woodard Academies Trust, an education charity that runs a number of academies across England. He has extensive experience of working with Christian charities, having been the Finance and Trading Director of Tearfund for over 10 years, as well as the Chair of Trustees of Stewardship. He also brings with him broader commercial experience, having worked in senior financial roles in a range of sectors.

Richard will be taking up his role in March.

Richard Gough commented:

"I look forward to joining the team at this exciting time and to helping the Diocese and its parishes take full advantage of the opportunities that the coming years hold."

Andy Brookes, General Secretary of the Diocese of London, commented:

"I am delighted that Richard is joining the senior team. He brings a wealth of experience of commerce, charity and church; and is fully committed to supporting the mission of Church of England in London as we pursue our ambitious plans for Capital Vision 2020."
