Little Noises at Hackney church

Thousands of music lovers will gather at St John at Hackney to hear music from acts such as Chris Martin, Goldfrapp, Sinead O’Connor and Elbow as the church plays host to the six night ‘Little Noise sessions’ festival in aid of learning disability charity, Mencap.

The church is hosting the event as part of the St John at Hackney Project, one aim of which is to provide its facilities to private, public and third sector organisations and to support local community initiatives. The sold-out Little Noise Sessions are curated by DJ Jo Whiley and will be the first music festival hosted at St John at Hackney.

Father Rob Wickham, Rector at St John Hackney, who will be performing a blessing on stage before the event begins, said:

"We are excited to be working with Jo Whiley and her team to stage these amazing concerts. Hackney is a place where the creative and music industries thrive, and we are thrilled that the Parish Church can be used in this way."
