Who can be elected?
Clerks in Holy Orders beneficed in or licensed to any parish in the Diocese.
Who should stand for election?
Anybody who qualifies to be elected and who feels they have a role to play on the Diocesan Board of Patronage should complete a nomination form and return it to the Presiding Officer (address on the form).
What is the role of the Diocesan Board of Patronage?
The Diocesan Board of Patronage holds the right of patronage in relation to a small number of parishes in the Diocese, and meets to act as and when necessary.
How to stand for election
First of all, complete the relevant nomination form, available from Monica Bolley.
Please follow the instructions on the nomination form concerning who can propose and second your nomination. They must be elected clerical members of the Diocesan Bishop’s Council, (the names of whom appear on the Notice of Election paper, which is issued with the nomination form).
