CUF Health & Belief Grants Programme Launched
The Church Urban Fund and its partner London Catalyst opens the 2014 Health & Belief Grant round.
This would not normally be the type of posting that I would make but in this case needs must. Hard on the heels of publishing the February Funding E-newsletter I was notified that this 2014 Health & Belief Grants Programme had launched. I figured that you should hear about it ASAP so here’s the latest on this.
What is it?
The Health & Belief Grants programme exists to support and enable faith based projects to develop projects and to work on issues that impact on health inequality in our city. The programme will offer grants of up to £10,000 and it is expected that funding will be used within one year and that the project will commence in 2014.
Who can apply?
Generally speaking you are within eligibility if you
- Are a social action groups
- Are based in London
- Have an annual income of less than £150,000
In 2013 there were 6 projects in London that gained support from the fund bringing £30,000 in to the accounts of projects serving our people. Amongst the successful applicants were St Anselm Belmont and St Peter Bethnal Green whose projects both received £4000. Congratulations to them!!
The Application Process
- Deadline for receipt of applications 30 May 2014
- Shortlisted applicants will be advised by 20 June
- Assessment and evaluation interviews take place 10 July
