End of term Evensong for St Paul’s Cathedral School honours volunteer’s decades of service

The Bishop of London joined pupils, parents and well wishers at St Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate St Paul’s Cathedral School’s end of year Evensong, and to honour the contribution of Maurice Sills with the St Mellitus medal.

Ambassadors representing Jesus Christ in daily life – equipped and commissioned locally

People from across the Diocese attended two one day workshops in March looking at what it means for us to equip and commission ambassadors representing Jesus Christ in daily life. Over 1,500 ambassadors have already been commissioned across the Diocese through confirmation and through specific groups of students and workplace ministries. The two March workshops marked the launch of equipping and commissioning ambassadors through local churches.

What the Tories could learn from St Mellitus

"JUST as the season of Advent began last week, I found myself in a large church in Earl’s Court. (I was there to give a speech about Baroness Thatcher and God – two strong characters whose relationship interests me.) The church is dedicated to St Jude, the patron saint of lost causes. Sometimes people put the Church of England in that sad category over which St Jude presides."
