Creatives network begins with a Feast of the Senses

The Capital Vision 2020 Creatives Network began with a ‘Feast of the Senses’ at St Saviour’s Walton Place. What does it truly mean to creatively express and explore faith? Arts and culture are such fundamental forms of human expression yet there is a common perception both within and outside worshipping communities that the Church doesn’t ‘do’ creative.

Interfaith choral collaboration celebrates annual church music event

The Choir of St John the Evangelist, Friern Barnet, will be collaborating with the Alyth Synagogue’s Choral Society to hold a special concert to mark the Royal School of Church Music’s (RSCM) annual Music Sunday – an international celebration of church music and musicians combined with fund-raising events.

Bishop of London dedicates stained glass window at LSE Faith Centre

The window, entitled ‘The Desert’ was designed by the President of the Royal Academy, Christopher Le Brun, to reflect the ancient tradition of the desert as a symbol of spiritual significance in the world religions.

New artist chaplain at University of the Arts London

The Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, joined 100 guests at a special ceremony at the magnificent banqueting hall of Chelsea College of Arts (formerly the Royal Army Medical Corps) as he led proceedings at the licensing of the Revd Mark Dean as Anglican Chaplain and Interfaith Advisor at University of the Arts London, the world-leading educational institution for art, design and communication.
