Brunel Chaplaincy Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Brunel staff and students collected 292 boxes this year as well as making generous donations towards the cost of transportation.

The shoe boxes are filled with gifts such as toys, warms scarves and gloves, pencils and crayons, that are then sent to disadvantaged children in Ukraine and Moldova.

Many student societies and groups in Halls of Residence worked for weeks to spread the word and fill the boxes with presents.

Sue Hepworth, the Chaplaincy Administrator, and Zein Owfar, the Campaigns Chair at the Union of Brunel Students were the driving forces behind the event. The Mustard Seed Relief Mission will distribute these much appreciated gifts in time for Christmas.
