Bishop of London helps feed the 5000

The Bishop of London joined 5000 members of the public, the Mayor of London and campaigner, Tristram Stuart, in highlighting the importance of cutting food waste, at an event in Trafalgar square last week.

During the Feeding the 5000 event, the Bishop of London served food made from ingredients that would otherwise have been wasted and signed a pledge committing him to reducing his own food waste.

The event sought to urge food businesses, restaurants and retailers to sign a Business Pledge, agreeing to the principles of the ‘Food Waste Pyramid’, a new online guidance tool developed by the Feeding the 5000 partnership to help food businesses avoid waste.
