Strategic Programmes
London changes constantly and is home to several of the country's largest development and regeneration projects, and like many other dioceses, London must be responsive to these changes and continuously re-evaluate how we deploy our valuable resources. This has been the catalyst for an exciting and innovative approach to mapping local knowledge and recognising opportunity.
Strategic Programmes is part of the Strategic Development Team. The team are currently working on around 15 locations where there are more than 1000 new residential units planned. The team work with the parishes that surround new developments to develop a vision and local response to the area. This could be the need for a new church, community centre or for people to be present in the area.
Our current development projects are in these locations across London - please follow the links for more information:
- Cricklewood
- Earls Court
- Kings Cross Central
- Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
- South Acton
- Tottenham Green
- Tottenham Hale
- White City
Strategic Development Map
The Strategic Development map is a tool developed by the Diocese of London and Groundwork, which brings together data from local, regional and national bodies, building a unique picture of development led change within the Diocese. You can view the map to plot census information, planning permissions, housing development plans within parish and London borough boundaries. Start your exploration of the London Diocese here.
