1. Minor Works

1. All works, other than those that are urgent (see 4 Emergency Work), are to be authorised by the Residential Property Department before any work is instructed.
2. All works costing £100 or under (including VAT) should normally be met by the PCC, or by the occupier.
3. For works over £100, but under £500 (excluding VAT), at least two estimates are required.
4. For works over £500 (excluding VAT), a minimum of three estimates are required.

Further guidance is given in the 'Minor Works Handbook' (including a list of recommended contractors). Unless these procedures are followed, there is no guarantee that expenditure of this nature will be met by the Diocese.
