Electrical installations should be checked at the time of the quinquennial survey and any upgrading carried out as necessary. If occupiers have any particular worries they should contact the Department. The use of adaptors should be avoided wherever possible.
The maintenance of security systems, where installed, is the responsibility of the PCC or occupier.
