The Bishop of London is giving three lectures for Advent in a series called 'The Coming Spiritual Tsunami'.
The lectures will be given at St Stephen Walbrook, in the City of London, and will be available to download as podcasts and text from the London Internet Church.
The first lecture, 'On Dover Beach', will be given on 4 December at 1pm.
The Bishop of Kensington has launched an Internet Advent Calendar that will uncover a different video for each day in December, right up to Christmas Day.
The calendar, produced by Jerusalem Productions of London, is a new initiative introduced by the Kensington Area to create more joy and expectancy as we prepare for Christmas. The Advent Calendar is intended to have a similar effect as a Christmas card and each video proposes to provoke thought in the receiver.
Two London churches have won prizes in the Church Times Green Church Awards.
St Andrew’s Fulham Fields won an award in the Action in the Community category for its ‘Fruit and Veg co-op’ that distributes fresh produce around the neighbourhood.
St Aldhelm’s, Edmonton, won the Energy Saving category for its solar energy scheme.
The Bishop of Kensington, The Rt Revd Michael Colclough has been appointed Residentiary Canon at St Pauls Cathedral.
After more than eleven years of service, Bishop Michael and his wife Cynthia will be moving from the Kensington Area at the end of January next year to join their new colleagues at the Cathedral.

The Church of England and The Children’s Society have turned oranges into cubes to help children engage with the Christian message of Christingle in a fun and creative way. More than 600,000 children attended a Christingle service last year.
St Mellitus College will incorporate some of the excellent ministerial training currently taking place across the Chelmsford and London dioceses into one overarching institution. With well over 200 people currently in ministerial training across the two dioceses, the formation of St Mellitus College will increase staff numbers, give greater flexibility for serving wider training needs and open up the possibility of new forms of training for ordination, post ordination and lay training within the region’s growing Church.
A new website from the Church of England to help clergy, readers and all who help plan and lead worship has been launched.
The new site collects together a wide range of information and advice, acting as a 'one-stop-shop' for access to sample Orders of Service for special festivals, music resources, training materials and information on forthcoming events.
