May E-News from the Diocese of London

Welcome to the E-News bulletin from the Diocese of London. We aim to keep our members and friends in touch with developments in the Church of England in our part of the capital.

What on Earth is the Church of England For?

The Archbishop of Canterbury tackles this question at 7pm on Sunday 7 May at Holy Trinity, Sloane Street. Later in the summer, the Bishop of London has his turn, followed by the Archbishop of Wales.

All are welcome. Click here for full details.

Life Inside the Convent

There are four Anglican religious communities in the Diocese of London, each with a very different ministry. May offers a special opportunity to find out more about the life of the Convent of St Mary at the Cross, Edgware.

Cycle of Prayer

Did you know that many people pray daily for the work of the parishes and chaplaincies across the Diocese and for the wider church? The Cycle of Prayer, produced monthly, provides a systematic way to undertake this faithful prayer.

Special Sundays

We believe Sundays are special but many hold added significance, being designated as days on which to remember or celebrate particular things such as Environment Sunday which falls on 4 June and Sea Sunday on 9 July. Add to that special weeks such as Refugee Week (19-25 June) and Christian Aid Week (14-20 May) and there's a lot to keep up with.
