On Saturday 1 September the Bishop of Kensington instituted The Reverend Simon Brandes into the ancient parish and church of St Nicholas Chiswick.
The Mayor of Hounslow joined a full church to welcome Father Brandes, who was also supported by a large contingent of clergy and parishioners from his former parish in Saddleworth in the Diocese of Manchester. During his sermon the Bishop said that he wanted St Nicholas’ church to “represent a community that is open and accessible to all who come here… to be a powerhouse of prayer in the busy world of your parish.”
