Collation and Installation of the Two New Archdeacons

The collation and installation of the Revd Rachel Treweek as Archdeacon of Northolt and the Revd Stephan Welch as Archdeacon of Middlesex will take place during Evensong in St Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday 14 May at 3.15pm.

During the service the two new archdeacons will swear oaths of allegiance to the Bishop of London and oaths to uphold the constitution and statutes of the Cathedral. The Bishop ‘collates’ them into their Archdeaconries. The Dean of St Paul’s then leads them to their stalls and ‘installs’ them.

Representatives of the two Episcopal areas will take part in the readings and prayers and Canon Lucy Winkett will preach.
