Last week, the Bishop of London, Dr Richard Chartres chaired a St Paul’s Institute event on the topic of 'Public debate: Money: a crisis of value?'
Speaking at the event were Catherine Cowley, Lecturer in Christian Ethics, Heythrop College; Andrew Dilnot, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Oxford University; Paul Tucker, Deputy Governor, Bank of England; John Micklethwait, Editor-in-Chief of The Economist.
The event was a public debate held in St Paul’s Cathedral and the discussion centred around what the financial crisis says about the state of our society.
The debate was part of a programme of events organised by St Paul's Institute. Many debates in the programme are being chaired by the Bishop of London.
