Stepney Area

Christian Nurture Courses

The Stepney Area has conducted a review of Christian introductory and nurture courses in the three deaneries. The courses discussed are Alpha, Emmaus, Christianity Explored, New Step, Start! and Essence.

The report contains an overview of courses in the Stepney Area. From data analysis and case studies, it builds a picture of what works and what does not. The aim is to support parishes in the task of creating and sustaining nurture course programmes.

We reflect on the challenges to:

• attract enquirers from outside the church community
• form course leadership teams
• build and sustain programmes of continuing evangelism, nurture and education.
