JustShare is a coalition of Churches and Christian organisations committed to global economic justice. JustShare draws its vision and values from the Christian faith and it therefore views the extent of inequality in today’s global economy as contrary to God’s will. Its original purpose was to provide a distinctive Christian presence in the City of London, alongside the May Day demonstrations. Today, JustShare seeks to:
Through these areas, it is relevant to the London Challenge Commitment of speaking truth to power. Based at St Mary-le-Bow in the heart of the City, JustShare’s current activities include public debates, an annual May Day event, training for City clergy on issues to do with economics and finance, and seminars for high level City executives. JustShare has also been instrumental in challenging the Square Mile to become a Fairtrade zone, which will be confirmed in the coming year.
