A further exploratory meeting with City and Church representatives was kindly hosted by Allen & Overy LLP in December 2008. The aim of the meeting was to test the Microfinance idea as it has now evolved. The idea was presented to attendees and questions and indications of support invited. Most questions were on the marketing of the Microfinance proposal rather than on its substance; there seemed to be support for its objectives even in the current financial climate and we were encouraged to proceed to the next stage, which is market-testing.
