The Evangelical Alliance is seeking an enthusiastic full-time volunteer to join the Membership and Fundraising team, starting in summer 2008 for a six month period. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a leading Christian organisation.

The Membership and Fundraising team builds relationships with the Alliance’s diverse membership of churches, Christian organisations and individuals. It promotes Alliance membership across the evangelical world. Fundraising is an integral part of all we do.

This position will make the most of the relevant gifts and abilities you can offer. You could be
• gaining fundraising experience through working with the Alliance’s donors and supporters
• developing your communications skills through writing fundraising letters, news emails and marketing materials
• learning and using database management skills to improve the effectiveness of our work
• building your event management experience
as well as helping the team with general administration.

Highly motivated, you will also need an appreciation of the breadth of evangelical Christianity in the UK and passion for Christian unity and the mission of the local church.

Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed (travel up to £150 a month and lunch up to £2 a day)
