St James is a large evangelical church in North London, committed to faithful Bible teaching and open to the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We have been blessed with considerable growth in recent years, with six services each Sunday. As we develop further we wish to appoint a new member of our clergy team to lead us in enhancing the quality of church life that we share together, not just on Sundays but throughout the week.

Our Minister for Church Family Life will be accountable to the Vicar. The post will work alongside the other clergy and various Heads of Ministry as a member of the Core Team, with specific responsibility for promoting healthy church family life across the whole body of our congregation. Along with regular preaching and teaching, the new appointee will also have direct responsibility for our 5pm service, for support of home group leaders, for oversight of the 'cradle to college' ministries and for encouraging Christian families.

We are looking for an ordained Anglican with several years ministry experience who can demonstrate:
Christian maturity
A clear gifting in preaching and teaching
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Deep evangelical convictions and an openness to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Salary according to experience and the London Diocesan scale. Appropriate housing provided.
