Contemporary funeral practise is changing with an increase in personalised funerals and green funerals.
The UKs 16th Day of the Dead organised by The Natural Death Centre will be marked this year by the staging of the London Green Funeral Exhibition. www.naturaldeath.org.uk
The event, which takes place on Saturday 19 April in London WC1, will show case current trends in eco-funerals as well as staging the debate around ‘How any Funeral may be made more green’. This debate is chaired by Ken West – founder of the first Natural Burial Ground.
The programme of events includes keynote speech by David Bellamy.
Representatives from a range of funeral suppliers and manufactures offering eco-options will also be on hand exhibiting their products and services.
