The Temple Studies Group promotes and enables study of the Temple in Jerusalem, believing that the world view, traditions, customs and symbolism of the Temple were formative influences on the development of Christianity.
Temple Studies Group symposia begin with an introduction to one aspect of ancient Temple tradition, and then trace this into Christianity, to show how Temple teaching has been preserved in all branches of the Church.
The symposia are convened twice a year. They are ecumenical, international, and open to all. Details appear on www.templestudiesgroup.com.
Confirmed speakers are:
Dr Richard Price [The Early Church];
Bishop Basil of Amphipolis [The Orthodox tradition];
Dr Sebastian Brock [The Syriac and Armenian tradition],
Dr Laurence Hemming [The Roman Catholic tradition],
Dr Margaret Barker [The Temple Tradition].
