Sir Roy Strong speaks of the crisis facing our church heritage and the urgency of its ‘owners’ doing something about it. The Consultation explores Sanctuary UK’s idea of a National Trust-like network of churches supported by a national subscriber-base.
The model encourages every local community to reclaim ownership of its own heritage while working with other agencies to protect and develop the whole country’s.
The lunchtime Consultation - aimed particularly at clergy, churchwardens and Friends - features a Question Time chaired by rural churchwarden Jonathan Evans OBE (Company Secretary Royal Mail Group) with panellists Sir Roy Strong, Diana Evans (English Heritage Head of Places of Worship), Lawrence Mortimer (Sanctuary UK) and others.
Sandwich refreshments, tea and coffee, free to registered participants.
