‘Cursillo’ means 'short course in Christian living'. The one day (9 to 5) Taster event has proved to be both worthwhile and enjoyable. It seeks to enable clergy to find out about the essentials of ‘Cursillo’, and the uses it may have in their parishes.
I am writing to welcome you to the Cursillo Taster Day in November because I believe you will find it unexpectedly and extremely useful and enjoyable.
Useful:
Enjoyable:
A key aspect of Cursillo, is the Cursillo programme of a short 3 day intensive course. This revisits the essentials of the faith, praying and sharing the sacraments (and much singing), and is followed by regular small group meetings to continue progress in prayer, study and action, as one way of empowering the faithful to share in the work of building the Kingdom.
As we seek to implement the actions of the London Challenge programme I commend Cursillo to you as a method well worth using in planning Church growth and development.
I look forward to seeing you on the 18th November.

The following comments were received after our previous ‘Taster Day’
On the overall programme………. ‘Very good – it gave a good overview of Cursillo’
On the venue…….. ‘Excellent. Good venue and good food’.
To the question: Did the conference meet your expectations?......... ‘Yes, it met my expectations. And I will encourage members of our congregation to attend the Weekend course.’
‘The day has helped me to see that Cursillo would be well suited to a parish like mine.’
Many Blessings
Alison
