Tokyo-chutei-iki are an amazing group of ten baritone saxophone players. Led by the enigmatic Akira Mizutani, the band also features members who have played with Cicala Mvta and Shibusashirazu. Their music is unclassifiable; along the lines of contemporary experimental jazz with occasional voice-overs, without question original, surprising, challenging and energising.
