Paul Williams became Area Bishop of Kensington in March 2009, having spent the previous 10 years as Rector St James Gerrards Cross with Fulmer in Buckinghamshire. His specific ministry interests are in the areas of Leadership Development, Church Growth and Children’s Ministry. Having trained for ordained ministry at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford, Paul served a curacy in the London Diocese at St James Muswell, and then as Associate Vicar at Christ Church, Clifton in Bristol. Prior to ordination he studied theology in Durham and served as full-time Youth Minister at St Andrew’s, North Oxford.

Paul is married to Sarah and they have three boys, aged 10, 9 and 6. He is enthusiastic towards all sport (especially football) and a keen fell-walker, notably in the Lake District and Exmoor (close to where he grew up).
